John Townes Van Zandt （1944年3月7日 - 1997年1月1日），更名为Townes Van Zandt，是美国创作歌手。 他对诗歌般的，通常英雄悲伤的歌曲广受好评。在Emmylou Harris第一次推广的六年后的1983年，Willie Nelson和Merle Haggard报导了他的歌曲“Pancho and Lefty”，在Billboard乡村音乐榜上名列第一。 他一生中大部分时间都在各种潜水酒吧度过，经常住在便宜的汽车旅馆房间和偏僻小木屋。在20世纪70年代的大部分时间里，他住在一个没有电或简单电话的简易小屋里。
