- 机械头乐团是美国加州奥克兰的重金属乐队。该组织于1991年10月12日成立，由歌手/吉他手Robb Flynn和贝司手Adam Duce创立。目前的乐队阵容包括Flynn，鼓手Dave McClain，吉他手Phil Demmel和贝司手Jared MacEachern。机头是美国重金属新浪潮的开创性乐队之一。
Flynn在乐队“Forbidden”和“Vio-lence”中感到音乐上没有实现机器头，并要求开始一个侧面项目，形成机头。当他的请求被拒绝时，他离开了乐队，并于1991年与Duce，Logan Mader和Tony Constanza一起组建了机器头部。乐队的第一张专辑“Burn My Eyes”在欧洲取得了巨大成功，在MTV的Headbangers Ball上获得了关注。在美国（HBB在垃圾邮件运动期间脱掉空气）机头不会成功，直到后来的专辑。
