背景
Philip Joel Urry出生于新西兰奥克兰。他是流行的新西兰乐队Drinkwater的主唱和吉他手。虽然他在乐器方面没有多少经验，但Newsboys在1994年8月向他提供了贝司手的职位。他当时说，'我已经知道如何弹奏六根琴弦，四根琴弦应该很小。他还为乐队唱过背景和主唱。
