厄普顿于2000年发行了大卫的钥匙。当年录制在弗吉尼亚海滩，是由厄普顿自己的大卫事工钥匙（David Ministries）制作的。超过一半的专辑包括未经理解的，自发的歌曲和声明。 2000年晚些时候，厄普顿出现在一个叫做“The Call D.C.”的国庆祈祷和禁食日活动中。 2001年8月14日，Upton发行了他的第二张专辑“Faith”，现场录制并发行了40个唱片。标题曲目是一首无计划的歌曲，Upton在专辑的内衬音符中称之为“精神之歌”。
