据悉，John Frusciante的最新唱片是与红辣椒乐队贝司手Flea 以及著名吉他手The Smith乐队的Johnny Marr合作共同完成的。他同时也透露红辣椒乐队最近没有任何录制新唱片的想法。John Frusciante在接受Music Radar采访时透露说，他的这张最新个人唱片叫做《The Empyrean》，在英国的发行日期是1月26日。
John Frusciante说：“录制这张唱片是我目前最重要的事情。对于这张最新唱片，很多时候我是注重的是技术，但更多时候我注重的是上帝赐予我的音乐灵感。我认为一名艺术家必须表现他的精神，尽管这与很多事情都冲突，但这是必须的。”
当问及John Frusciante红辣椒乐队近来是否有录制新唱片的打算，他没有过多进行解释，John Frusciante只是说目前他个人“没有任何打算”。 John Frusciante曾在90年代脱离Red Hot Chili Peppers(听歌)乐队，并发表过多张个人专辑。红辣椒的最新一张唱片是2006 的《Stadium Arcadium》。
