昆士兰音乐奖世界音乐类得奖者 Matt Hsu aka 'Matt Hsu's Obscure Orchestra'，是位实验音乐作曲家。他能演奏多达二十种以上的乐器，此外他也擅⻑将各类民俗乐器、管絃乐器、以及生活中唾手可得物品发出的声响编织在一起，谱写出丰富多彩而匠心独运的音乐。身为一名“ABT (Australian-born Taiwanese) ”，Matt 从小受澳洲当地独立音乐、庞克乐与实验音乐的薰陶，长大后，他成为了全澳洲音乐界最受推崇的实验音乐作曲家兼社会运动参与者。在跨文化背景成长下的他，时常借由谱写出在听觉上超凡脱俗的音乐，称颂多元性与包容性。此外，Matt 还担任自己的 17 人编制管絃乐团指挥，而被澳洲乐坛比喻为澳洲的 Shugo Tokumaru。
Matt Hsu is a 2020 Queensland Music Award winning experimental composer and performer, known as 'Matt Hsu's Obscure Orchestra'. He plays over 20 instruments, combining world instruments, orchestral instruments and everyday objects to make lush intricately-crafted music. Born in Australia to Taiwanese parents, Matt grew up immersed in Australia's indie, punk and experimental music scenes, becoming one of the Australian music scene's most respected experimental artists-activists. Drawing on his cross-cultural upbringing, he creates otherworldly music that celebrates difference and inclusivity. Matt leads his own 17-piece orchestra and has been hailed as Australia's answer to Shugo Tokumaru.
