星路历程：
恩雅的父母亲在自组乐团中担任萨克斯风手及钢琴演奏，在爱尔兰等地巡回演出。恩雅在耳濡目染之下，从小就开始修习古典钢琴，在充满音乐气息的环境中成长。 1980年，19岁的恩雅开始加入家族乐团“Clannad”担任键盘手，3年后她离开了“Clannad”，寻求更自由的创作空间与自我发展。
之后恩雅开始尝试为电影谱写配乐、演奏乐曲，并决定用“Enya”取代“Eithne”作为她的名字。1988年恩雅推出首张正式个人大碟【Watermark水印】，开创了当代意象音乐里程碑，深获好评后并陆续发行【Shepherd Moons】、【The Celt】等专辑。第35届葛莱美奖揭晓，【Shepherd Moons】为恩雅夺下首座葛莱美最佳新世纪音乐大奖，并获得全英音乐奖的国际艺人项目提名；95年推出的【The Memory Of Trees】，不但蝉连Billboard新世纪音乐专辑榜冠军，并再次为她赢得葛莱美最佳新世纪音乐专辑奖的喝采。
20年来，恩雅以如此神祕却又动人的音乐魔法征服了全球，缔造了逾7000万张的专辑销售，并赢得了包括4座葛莱美奖在内的无数音乐奖项，2000年所发行的【A Day Without Rain雨过天晴】专辑中的《Only Time》一曲，更在2001年‘9/11事件’冲击全球之后，成为了新闻台报导此一令人伤痛事件时用来抚慰人心的衬底音乐，并以此单曲在两年内总计募集了50万美金慈善基金，恩雅深具灵性穿透力的创作与清澄音质，广获音乐市场与乐迷肯定，至今依旧稳坐新世纪音乐天后地位。
2008年，在此动荡不安、时局纷乱的年代，新世纪音乐天后恩雅再度施展其音乐魔法，带来3年来的首张全新创作专辑【And Winter Came冬季恋歌】，藉著专辑中的12首美丽乐曲，适时地为我们找回祥和平静的心灵，并在这即将到来的寒冬，为我们注入一股温暖。
个人专辑/作品年表
1986年，恩雅为电影The Frog Prince（青蛙王子）配乐。
1987年，恩雅为BBC的特别节目The Celts（凯尔特人）配乐，BBC为这些配乐发行一张名为enya 的专辑。因为这张专辑使得恩雅的音乐受到wea总裁Rob Dickins的注意，并与其签下唱片合约。
1988年，恩雅在wea的第一张正式个人专辑Watermark（水印）发行。
1991年，第二张专辑Shepherd Moons（牧羊人之月）发行。
1992年，wea取得专辑enya 的发行权，经过重新编曲混音后，更名为The Celts（凯尔特人）全球发行。
1995年，第四张专辑The Memory of the Trees（树的回忆）发行。
