Primus是位于加利福尼亚州旧金山的美国摇滚乐队，目前由低音歌手/主唱Les Claypool，吉他手Larry“Ler”LaLonde和鼓手Tim“Herb”Alexander组成。 Primus最早于1984年与Claypool和吉他手Todd Huth合作，之后由鼓手Jay Lane加入，后两人于1988年底离开乐队。1989年，Primus以LaLonde和Alexander的身份录制了他们的首张Suck on This，之后是四首工作室专辑：Frizzle Fry，帆船的奶酪海洋，猪肉苏打水，以及Punchbowl的故事。亚历山大于1996年离开乐队，由Bryan“Brain”Mantia取代，Primus继续为电视节目South Park和另外两张专辑“Brown Album”和Antipop录制原创主题歌，随后在2000年宣布停播。
