“蝗虫”是来自美国加利福尼亚州圣地亚哥的美国朋克摇滚乐队，以其独特的速度与侵略性，复杂性以及新的浪潮怪异而闻名。

历史

在蝗虫创始成员贾斯汀·皮尔逊和迪伦·沙尔夫之前，在硬核朋克乐队奋斗在一起，形成于1990年底。乐队只持续了三年。尽管如此，他们还是有机会与其他重要的乐队分享音乐空间，有着类似的意识形态观点，比如Born Against，Downcast，Bikini Kill和Econochrist。乐队于1994年解散。

蝗虫由Bobby Bray，Justin Pearson，Dylan Scharf，Dave Warshaw和Dave Astor于1994年组成。经过多次人事变动，他们于2001年抵达目前的四人阵容，包括布雷，皮尔逊，乔伊卡兰和加布塞尔维亚人。蝗虫最初是一个强大的暴力项目，其第一个版本是与流派先驱人是混蛋分裂。后来的版本加入了合成器，变得越来越戏剧化。乐队定期在洛杉矶和圣地亚哥的各个年龄段的朋克俱乐部演出，通常穿上昆虫服装。

2007年3月20日，“蝗虫”通过ANTI发行了第三张专辑“New Erections”。在“新勃起”发行之后漫长的巡演之后，“蝗虫”继续停滞。

2010年5月18日，Locust发布了2001年9年前“Peel Session”的档案录音，简称为“Peel Sessions”，通过Radio Surgery发布。这首16首歌曲是Gabe Serbian第一次为The Locust打鼓，最后确定了Bobby Bray，Joey Karam，Justin Pearson和Gabe Serbian的阵容。

2012年7月31日，The Locust通过ANTI发行了一张精选专辑“The Gold Standard Labs”。这张专辑包含了所有在1997年至2002年期间发行的黄金标准实验室标签上的材料。
