- 成立于1999年夏天的Becoming The Archetype，团员分别为吉他手Jon Star、Sean Cunningham，贝斯兼主唱Jason Wisdom，吉他兼键盘Seth Hecox，鼓手Brent Duckett，技巧纯熟干净俐落、爆发力十足以及拼贴式的乐句衔接，使得Becoming The Archetype能够在众多同类型乐团脱颖而出，颇有巴洛克式风味的intro曲' March of the Dead'，仿佛跪坐在气势恢弘的欧式大教堂闭目冥想，被' Into Oblivion'突如其来的愤怒瞬间中断，歇斯底理的吉他咨意狂泄，随之而来的又是沉淀心情的空心吉他弦指振动，没多久又陷入强烈金属冲击的中心!! 长篇幅的' Elegy: Deception/Lament /Triumph'展现该团优异编曲功力，' Night’s Sorrow'干净清脆净化人心，' The Epigone'则是沉静之后的究极破坏!!
成为原型是1999年在佐治亚Dacula成立的固态唱片公司和世纪传媒记录公司（欧洲）签署的美国极端金属乐队。 他们已经发布了五个固态记录专辑。 根据Nielsen Soundscan的数据，2008年11月发布的二分法在发行的第一周就在美国销售了2300多份。 CD在“热门新作”（Heatseekers）排行榜上排在第18位，该排行榜上列出了新发展艺术家最畅销的专辑，被定义为从未出现在Billboard 200排行榜前100名的专辑。 美国重金属新浪潮的一部分。
