- EGOIST是一个日本的双人音乐团体，由Supercell的词曲作家Ryo和演唱者Chelly组成。最初是为了制作2011年的电视动画罪恶王冠的主题曲而组成，后来又制作了其他动画的主题曲，包括了心灵判官和甲铁城的卡巴内里的主题曲。
ryo于2011年举办甄选会，为接下来的作品挑选客席主唱。报名期为5月25日至6月19日。从2000人中选出15岁的こゑだ（读作Koeda）和17岁的chelly，两人在2011年尾主唱《罪恶王冠》的歌曲正式出道，并且受到很大的回响，当中chelly以Egoist名义发表歌曲。
原为电视动画《罪恶王冠》内的虚拟网络音乐团体，并负责同部电视动画内的主题曲与插曲，由当时年仅17岁的chelly主唱。
第1首片尾曲《Departures ～送给你的情歌～》（Departures ～あなたにおくるアイの歌～）则是chelly的出道单曲，以组合“EGOIST”的名义于同年11月30日发行。chelly（以及EGOIST）的第2张单曲《The Everlasting Guilty Crown》于2012年3月7日发行，为《罪恶王冠》的第2首片头曲。EGOIST的两张单曲皆收录音乐组合Boom Boom Satellites的混音版本。
但在电视动画结束后仍继续以团体名称活跃，由supercell担当制作。
在2013年，EGOIST在Anime Festival Asia 2013首次作现场演出，以不亮相的方式并配合“3.5D THE LIVE”的技术令虚拟模型和真人的动作实时同步来演出。，在2014年“egoist live tour 2014”开催决定，EGOIST将会在大阪、东京和名古屋三地举行演唱会。同年EGOIST的FAN CLUB正式成立，名称为“EGOISTix*fam”。在2015年落实在香港举行首次海外演唱会“EGOIST 2015.04.30 IN HONG KONG”，举行日期为4月30日。2016.3.26 于台北台大综合体育馆擧办2016年首场海外演唱会EGOIST LIVE TOUR 2016 IN TAIWAN。2017.3.4“EGOIST LIVE IN TAIPEI 2017”再次于台北台大综合体育馆擧办，并与万代南梦宫（BANDAI NAMCO）全新合作技术，让2.5次元偶像女神“EGOIST”走出萤幕，立体拟真演出！
