- 噪音艺术是1983年初由工程师/制片人加里·兰甘（Gary Langan）和程序员J.J.Jeczalik以及编曲安妮·达德利（Anne Dudley），制作人特雷弗·霍恩（Trevor Horn）和音乐记者保罗·莫雷（Paul Morley）组成的英语前卫合成流行乐队。这个组合拥有国际前20名的“Kiss”和获得1986年格莱美奖的乐器“Peter Gunn”。
该乐队的大部分乐器作品都是基于数字采样器技术的新颖旋律声音拼贴，这在当时是新的。受到20世纪20年代音乐革命的启发，“噪音艺术”最初被打包成一个不露面的反面或非反面的团体，模糊了艺术与创作者之间的区别。乐队以流行音乐中的电子和电脑的创新应用而闻名，特别是创新性采样。从ZTT最早的发行版中，乐队把自己称为“噪音艺术”和“噪音艺术”。官方和非官方版本和新闻材料使用两个版本。
